There are also many specialized craft workshops where traditional techniques have been handed down since the Edo period. Kaga Yuzen
Kaga Yuzen es una técnica de tintado de prendas que se caracteriza por sus motivos realistas y pictóricos basados en los cinco colores tradicionales de Kanazawa (índigo, carmesí oscuro, amarillo ocre, verde hierba y púrpura antiguo). Hay varios talleres disponibles que ofrecen una auténtica experiencia incluyendo el pintado y el tintado de las prendas con plantillas. También hay talleres que permiten vestir el auténtico kimono Kaga Yuzen, lujosos kimonos que hasta los japoneses anhelan llevar.
Kaga Mizuhiki
El Mizuhiki (atado de cordón decorativo) se utiliza en la envoltura tradicional japonesa. El Kaga mizuhiki es una forma tridimensional de la técnica tradicional del mizuhiki del resto de Japón. Porcelana de Kutani
Esta porcelana se caracteriza por sus diseños realistas y es famosa en todo el mundo por los colores representativos de Japón, "Japan kutani". Los visitantes pueden aprender en los talleres este arte usando los mismos materiales que los artesanos.
Incrustación Kaga Zogan
La incrustación es una técnica en la que el metal se talla y se rellena con diferentes metales para producir patrones. En el periodo Edo se usaba para decorar los arneses y las armaduras de los samuráis, y en la actualidad también se emplea para fabricar accesorios del hogar como jarrones, quemadores para el incienso, collares y pendientes. Artesanía de pan de oro
En Kanazawa se concentra la mayor parte de la producción nacional de pan de oro.
