Kanazawa's geisha are called GEIKO. In a real ochaya teahouse — normally closed to first-time guests — two geiko perform dance and live shamisen right before your eyes, then join you for conversation and traditional ozashiki parlor games over a seasonal kaiseki-style meal and local sake.

Unlike Kyoto, where young maiko apprentices train toward becoming geiko, Kanazawa's geiko are celebrated for their refined artistry. This is the full teahouse experience, fully private, with an interpreter guide.
