Kanazawa Literary Hall
Kanazawa Literary Hall was established as a center and creative hub for literary activities in Kanazawa. The museum aims to inspire creativity by providing a stimulating environment where writers and aspiring authors can gather, learn, and exchange ideas.
Visitors can view all winning works of the IZUMI Kyoka Prize for Literature, one of Japan’s earliest municipal literary awards, as well as the concurrently established Citizen’s Literature Prize. These collections highlight both nationally recognized authors and local literary talent.
On the second floor, the permanent Kanazawa Hiroyuki Itsuki Library features works by ITSUKI Hiroyuki, a prominent author with strong ties to Kanazawa who has been active in many fields. Together with the first-floor “Exchange Salon,” the space serves as a source of motivation and creative energy for those engaged in literary pursuits.
