Geisha Lunch <with 1 Geisha>

An Intimate Afternoon with a Multilingual Geiko.

Step into the hidden world of Kanazawa’s Geisha culture. An intimate lunch experience featuring traditional hospitality, rhythmic games, and the finest seasonal flavors in the city's most exclusive districts.

Highlights

A Hidden Sanctuary in Kanazawa’s Chaya Districts

Your experience unfolds in either Kazuemachi or Nishi Chaya, two of Kanazawa's three historic tea house districts (Chayagai). Whether you are seated right in front of Kazuemachi’s legendary "Kuragari-zaka" (The Dark Slope) or amidst the historic charm of Nishi Chaya, our venues feature iconic ochre-latticed windows—preserved sanctuaries where time seems to stand still.

The Art of Personal Hospitality

This is not a distant performance on a stage. Here, the Geisha (known locally as Geiko) join you at your side. They will pour your drinks and engage in graceful conversation, sharing stories of Kanazawa’s rich heritage. Experience the refined art of Japanese hospitality that has been perfected over centuries.

Playful Traditions: "Ozashiki-Asobi"

After lunch, immerse yourself in Ozashiki-Asobi—traditional games played in the tea houses, such as "Konpira-fune-fune" or "Tora-Tora." Guided by the Geiko’s rhythmic musical cues, these games break the ice and fill the room with laughter, offering a joyful connection to Japan’s vibrant past.

Visual Feast of the Four Seasons (Lunch & Drinks Included)

Savor a beautifully curated seasonal lunch package that perfectly captures Kanazawa's rich culinary heritage. Each experience includes a specially prepared midday meal showcasing the region's finest seasonal ingredients, thoughtfully paired with complimentary drinks. Enjoy a complete dining experience served with the elegance and precision that defines Japanese haute cuisine.

Note: This plan does not include any musical or dance performances. If you would like a performance, please contact us separately. We can accommodate this with CDs or other media.
