René Lalique: Elegant French Decorative Art Carrying on the Work of Émile Gallé and the Daum Frères
“The Radiant World of Decorative Arts Woven by Lalique and Master Craftsmen”
René Lalique was a French artist who excelled in both jewelry and glass art from the Art Nouveau to the Art Deco period. This exhibition presents elegant jewelry and vividly colored glass works created by Lalique, focusing on the Iuchi Collection deposited at the National Crafts Museum. In addition, glass pieces by Émile Gallé and the Daum brothers—artists active in the same era—along with period furniture and posters, are also featured. We invite you to experience the rich allure of a time when decorative arts flourished with extraordinary brilliance.
