Yoshiro and Yoshio Taniguchi Museum of Architecture, Kanazawa 11th Exhibition The Architecture of Yoshio Taniguchi – Designing Tranquility and Plenitude
A commemorative exhibition honoring architect Yoshio Taniguchi, who passed away in December 2024
Yoshio Taniguchi (1937-2024) was one of the representative architects in Japan, known for designing numerous public buildings, especially art museums, in Japan and abroad. This exhibition focuses on a comprehensive view of his life and career, including major projects, personal history, and the cultural significance of his works. Special attention is given to three projects located in Kanazawa, which highlight the contributions of Taniguchi Family, both Yoshio and his father Yoshiro Taniguchi, to the city's architectural heritage. It is highly expected that this exhibition will continue in other parts of the world in order to commemorate his specific achievement on meditative architecture.
