Owaricho Chomin(Citizens') Culture Museum
Originally built in 1907 (Meiji 40) as a bank, this building has been preserved and repurposed as a cultural facility.
The exterior features a traditional Japanese dozo-zukuri (storehouse-style) design finished in black plaster, while the interior contrasts with white plaster walls and Western-style banking architecture. Highlights include the original teller counters and the former bank director’s office, which retain the atmosphere of the Meiji era.
The building is designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Ishikawa Prefecture.
