Kanazawa Odori
Geisha from the three teahouse districts of Higashi, Nishi, and Kazue-machi all appear.
This year, a dance picture scroll will be performed to pray for recovery from the Noto Peninsula earthquake that struck on New Year's Day. The festival traces the nature and culture of Noto, and expresses the strength and beauty of people's lives with lustrous dances. The prestigious "Kanazawa Subayashi", the standard "Ozashiki Taiko Drum", and the "Kanazawa Fuga" dance are also not to be missed.
On September 22 (Sun.), Geisha from Gion in Kyoto will perform the Kamigata song "Higashiyama Meisho".
This is the stage where Kanazawa's Geiko shine brightest of the year. We are sincerely looking forward to seeing you there.
