Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road

The Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road is a scenic mountain route connecting Ishikawa and Gifu Prefectures through the beautiful landscapes of Hakusan National Park. Known for its breathtaking mountain views, deep valleys, waterfalls, and lush forests, it is one of the region's most spectacular driving routes.

On this tour, the White Road is specially opened before regular operating hours, giving you a rare opportunity to walk along a road that is normally accessible only by vehicle. Accompanied by a local guide, you will enjoy the tranquility of the early morning while discovering the natural beauty and unique stories of the Hakusan area.

 

Roadside Station Sena

The tour includes a stop at the popular Roadside Station Sena, where you can shop for local souvenirs with ease. Browse a wide selection of regional specialties, including “Hakusan Hyakusen,” one of the most popular souvenir products from the Hakusan foothills area. Through these local products, you can experience the natural beauty and mountain blessings of the Hakusan region.

Freshly baked bread and coffee are also available for purchase, making it a convenient place to enjoy breakfast after the morning walk.

- The tour may be cancelled or the itinerary may be modified depending on the opening status of the Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road, weather conditions, or other circumstances.

- This tour is recommended for participants who can comfortably walk for an extended period.

- Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable walking shoes.

- As the tour takes place in a mountainous area, temperatures and weather conditions may differ significantly from those in urban areas.

- Even in September, temperatures can be cool in the early morning. We recommend bringing a light jacket or windbreaker.

- Please bring your own drinking water or other beverages for hydration

- In case of rain, please bring appropriate rain gear such as a raincoat. We recommend avoiding umbrellas, as they may inconvenience other participants..

- Fog may occur depending on weather conditions. Please note that visibility and scenery may vary due to natural conditions.

- For safety reasons, please follow the instructions of the tour staff and guide at all times.

[ Early Morning Departure Information ]

- As this tour departs very early in the morning, please confirm your meeting location and meeting time in advance.

- Due to the early departure time, public transportation may not be available to reach the meeting point. Please arrange your transportation beforehand.

- Please ensure that you get adequate rest and arrive in good physical condition for the tour.

- After the tour, we will stop at Roadside Station Sena, where you can purchase freshly baked bread and coffee.

【Qualifying age 】

*Ages for tour participants: 6 years old and up (children 0-5 years old are not allowed to join the tour)

*A client under 18 years of age and traveling alone during the tour period shall provide White Ring with written consent of his/her guardian. Clients under 15 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, except for certain courses.

* Participants must be 6 years of age or older. Children aged 0–5 are not permitted to join this tour.
