Night Illumination at Terashima Kurando Residence

Step into the historic samurai residence of Terashima Kurando, a middle-ranking samurai of the Kaga Domain, and discover the tranquil beauty of its Japanese garden after dark.

For two nights only, the garden is illuminated, creating a special opportunity to experience this historic residence in a different light. The garden features trees said to be over 300 years old, adding to its timeless charm.

Visitors can also enjoy matcha green tea with traditional Japanese sweets in the tea room overlooking the illuminated garden. Watch as your matcha is prepared and served in the graceful tradition of Japanese tea culture, and take a quiet moment to relax in this historic setting.

No reservation required. Matcha: 400 yen (approx. 15 minutes). Low stools are available. There may be a wait during busy periods, and shared seating may be required.
