2025 is the Year of the Snake! Create a travel souvenir charm using Kaga inlay (Kaga zōgan) and footprint engravings.

Let's leave our footprints in Kanazawa! We will create them with line inlay and original engravings.

The Kaga inlay is a rare traditional craft of Kanazawa.

Kaga inlay is a traditional metal inlay technique still practiced today in the city of Kanazawa (Ishikawa Prefecture)　　

It came from Kyoto.

There is the history of 400 years.

The twelve zodiac signs that were transmitted from China to Japan change animals every 12 years. The year 2025 will be the Year of the Snake. The year 2026 will be the Year of the Horse.

This workshop is four steps.

・Inlay with silver wire.

・Using a file to make it smooth.

・Marking design with carved seals.

・Finally using sandpaper to polish.

From symmetric age 10 years old to ７５ years old.

There is the carved seal for children, too.

★A holding place is the second floor.

＊A child needs the attendance of the protector.

＊Please come with the clothes that you may become dirty.

If needed, there are women's arm covers and aprons available.
