In Kanazawa, Geisha are called Geiko or Geiko-san (with "san", it makes it sound more polite and friendly)

Have you ever wondered how an Ochaya (teahouse / geisha house) operates and what happens behind the scenes of Geiko's enchanting performances?

Come and explore one of the 5 ochayas in Nishi Chaya District, the premises that is normally not open to the public.

This is a very rare opportunity to get educated on how the ochaya operates, what the Kanazawa's Geiko culture is all about,

with a help of 2 Geiko of the teahouse Mi-Ne.

The experience is not just about the tour of the building and explanation on the Geiko and her belongings, but also

an authentic Geiko performances including dance and taiko drum performances, fun experiences of taiko drumming

and fun games with the Geiko.
