Join a fun 90 minutes of an exclusive teahouse tour, geisha performances (flute, dancing and taiko drums) and interactions with the Geiko!
< Held on Fridays >
October 4, 11, 18, 25
November 1, 8, 15
In Kanazawa, Geisha are called Geiko or Geiko-san (which sounds more polite and friendly)
Have you ever wondered what an Ochaya (teahouse / geisha house) looks inside?
Come and explore one of the 5 ochayas in Nishi Chaya District, the premises that is normally not open to the public.
This is a very rare opportunity to get educated on how the ochaya works, what the Geiko culture is about,
with a help of Geiko of the teahouse Mi-Ne.
The experience is not just about the tour of the building and explanation on the Geiko and her belongings, but also
an authentic Ozashiki Geiko party including dance and taiko drum performances, fun experiences of taiko drumming
and fun games with the Geiko.
