Near Omicho Market, known as “Kanazawa’s Kitchen,” a dazzling winter monument called “Kinpaku Kirara” will make its appearance. Inspired by Kanazawa’s winter preparations and the traditional yukitsuri (ropes used to protect trees from heavy snow), the monument is adorned with gold leaf, a traditional local craft, and illuminated with LED lights.
Approximately 2,000 sheets of gold leaf will decorate the monument on the Kanazawa M’za side, while another 800 sheets will adorn the monument on the Kanazawa Hakomachi side. The glittering gold decorations, shimmering in the light and swaying gently in the breeze, create a truly magical and dreamlike atmosphere.
