Samurai practice, burning incense, Wadaiko Performance Experience,Dharma talks, and Matcha (powdered green tea) experience begin the trip to Kanazawa!
Start your experience with the world of Bushido through the activities, such as Kendo practice, smelling of the incense of fragrant wood, beating a Japanese drum, and tasting matcha green tea. This practice was associated with the Kaga samurai. Experience the sprit of Bushido at Josho-ji Temple with more than 400 years of history.

Listening to incence and Kendo Practice Experience
After regulating your spirit with fragrant wood, you will experience kendo practice. All participants level including beginners are welcome. All participants will practice holding and swinging the bamboo sword(shinai)
Japanese drum and incense offering experience
Participants will take turns beating Japanese drums as the monk reads sutras. Experience burning incense while the monk prays for the safety and health of each participant's journey.
Matcha (powdered green tea) experience
After a brief etiquette how to make matcha green tea is provided , each participant will make two cups of matcha using the set of cups and utensils on a tray. The monk will also talk about the history of Buddhism.
承証寺(Josho-ji Temple)
Belonging to the Hokke school of Buddhism and headquartered in Honno-ji, Kyoto, this temple was founded in 1589 in Owari-cho, Kanazawa, and moved to its current location in Tera-machi in 1616. The Kishimojin Hall houses a demon mask said to have emerged from the waters off Ataka -no-Seki. The painting on the doors of the main hall is said to be by Tawaraya Sotatsu, a well-known painter of the Edo period.
