We provide two types of walking tour, one in the afternoon and the other in the evening.

Please join us for 1.5 hours and learn the history of the Geiko and Geiko Districts in Kanazawa in a fun, interactive way!

The walking tour is organised by 'eyeon Kanazawa', the one and only English language information magazine published in Kanazawa for foreign tourists.

You will take a walk with one of the eyeon staff members who are fluent in English.

Learn the history while having a stroll through the Geiko districts - Higashi and Kazue-machi.

In this walking tour, you will gain understanding of two Geiko districts located around the Asanogawa River. Explore the main streets and hidden, quite back streets with a local English-speaking guide with fascinating stories. You will learn how Kanazawa Geiko lived in the districts in the past, and how the present-day Kanazawa Geiko carry on the tradition.

You will receive a guide-system receiver with earphones, which will enable you to hear the voice of the English-speaking guide clearly, even on a busy street.
