The special winter Light-up events at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Shirakawa-go Gassho-style Village have been confirmed once again for 2027! This rare event takes place only four times a year and is strictly reservation-only, making it difficult to attend on your own. With our bus tour from Kanazawa, however, you can enjoy this special event with ease and peace of mind.

How about spending a leisurely morning exploring Kanazawa before heading out in the afternoon to experience the magical Light-up of Shirakawa-go? Our bus tour departs from Kanazawa Station at 3:00 p.m., allowing you to enjoy a relaxed morning before your special evening in Shirakawa-go.

As an added bonus, a ticket to Shirakawago-no-Yu, the village’s only hot spring facility, is included. After admiring the illuminated scenery, you can warm up and unwind in the soothing waters.

The snow-covered Gassho-style village illuminated against the night sky is a truly magical sight, available only a few times a year. Why not take this rare opportunity to experience it for yourself?

Notes:

This tour does not include an admission ticket to the observatory during the Light-up event.
Dinner is not included, so you are free to choose where and what to eat in Shirakawa-go.

Please note that this tour does not include an admission ticket to the observation deck during the light-up hours.

[Temperature and Clothing]
Since the light-up takes place at night, temperatures can drop to between -10℃ and 0℃ and the roads may be icy. We recommend wearing warm clothing, waterproof winter boots, and spikes. As the paths are dark, bringing a flashlight is also advised.

[Drone Photography]
The use of drones is strictly prohibited within Shirakawa-go. Violations are subject to penalties.

[Regarding Admission to the Light-up Event]
An “admission ticket system” will be implemented. The admission ticket will be in the form of a neck holder, and we kindly ask that you wear it around your neck at all times when entering through the gate and while walking around the village.

[Regarding Dinner]
Dinner is not included in the tour, so please enjoy your meal freely in Shirakawa-go.
Please note that dining places may become crowded, so we recommend allowing extra time.

[Shirakawa-go no Yu Bathing Information]

The admission fee for Shirakawa-go no Yu is included in the tour price.

Tour participants will receive a bathing ticket on the day of the tour.

If you wish to use the bath, please present your bathing ticket at the reception desk of Shirakawa-go no Yu.

■ About the Bathing Ticket

- The bathing ticket is available only to participants of this tour.

- The ticket is valid only on the day of the tour.

- The ticket can be used for bathing only.

- Please present your bathing ticket at the reception desk when using the facility.

- The ticket is valid only for the person to whom it was issued and cannot be transferred to another person.

- Lost tickets cannot be reissued.

- The ticket cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded.

- Please follow the rules and regulations of Shirakawa-go no Yu when using the facility.

■ Towels and Amenities

Towels and bath towels are not included in the tour price.

The following are available at Shirakawa-go no Yu:

Face towel: ¥200 (for purchase)

Bath towel: ¥300 (rental)

- Shampoo

- Conditioner

- Body soap

■ Important Information

Guests who wish to use the bath must do so during the tour.

After bathing, please make sure to return to the designated meeting point by the scheduled meeting time.
