Fusion21: Relax in an Artistic Cafe-Restaurant at the 21st Century Museum, Kanazawa

Fusion21 is a café-restaurant located just across from the ticket counter at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. Its gently curved window side reflects the museum’s iconic circular architecture, while the white-toned interior adds to the bright and airy atmosphere. With beautifully presented dishes featuring local Kanazawa ingredients, the menu complements the museum’s unique artistic setting, offering a relaxing and immersive dining experience.

HUM&Go# is the permanent café inside the Ishikawa Prefectural Library, a building renowned nationwide for its exceptional design. The library is open to everyone free of charge and is a popular Kanazawa destination for both adults and children. The children's area, which has about 200 English picture books, is thoughtfully designed to help even the youngest visitors engage with books. Within this relaxing space, HUM&Go# offers delicious meals, snacks, drinks, and sweets—making it an essential part of the library experience.

"Umi no Shokudo BAY ARCE" offers a menu and atmosphere unique to a port town

Located inside the Kanazawa Port Cruise Terminal—the gateway to the sea in Kanazawa—“Umi no Shokudo BAY ARCE” is a restaurant where you can enjoy a special view that includes world-class cruise ships that dock here, all from a special seat with a special menu. It’s straight ahead after taking the escalator at the building entrance, with access to the terrace. The sea-facing side features large glass windows, and the bright, airy interior is accented with locally sourced wood and touches of blue, offering a refreshing and open atmosphere.

You can enjoy Kanazawa-style dishes such as "Hanton Rice" and "Kenroku Gozen" set meal. For children, "Kid's Lunch Plate" and "Kid’s Curry Rice" are also available.

Harajuku Nangoku Shuka 

An authentic Chinese restaurant offering dishes made with local ingredients. They also have a "Kids' Fried Rice Set" that comes with juice and a toy.

The Dining

A buffet-style restaurant with a view. With separate pricing for elementary school children and toddlers, and free meals for children under 3, it's a budget-friendly option for families alongside a flat adult rate.

Ginza Ten-Ichi

You can enjoy freshly fried Edo-style tempura made with local seafood and vegetables. Lunches are reasonably priced starting in the 2,000 yen range, and there’s also a special Kid’s Tempura Bowl available.

Café Morozoff Pasta & Dessert

The dessert selection is especially extensive. In addition to their value lunch sets, it’s also a great spot to stop by just for dessert after a meal.

"Kanazawa Forus" is a large commercial building located just outside the East Exit of Kanazawa Station. The 6th floor dining area "Dining KUUGO" features a variety of restaurants, including ramen noodle, sushi, pasta, and yakiniku, making it a popular spot for locals. With a bus terminal next door, it is also an ideal place for travelers to start or end their journey or to spend time while waiting for trains or buses.

Kamakura Pasta

A fresh pasta specialty store. It offers a variety of kid's menus and allows bringing in baby food. Dedicated tableware, noodle cutters, aprons, and kids' chairs are also available. Ordering is easy with a tablet device that supports an English menu.

Sumiyaki Gyu-tan HIGASHIYAMA

A specialty store for beef tongue steak. The table seating is a barrier-free semi-private room, making it easy to bring in strollers! 

The "kid's set" features a main dish of hamburger stew and barley rice.

Tomikinton

A restaurant specializing in fried dishes, especially tonkatsu pork cutlet. They offer a deluxe “Kids' Plate” served on a Shinkansen-shaped plate, featuring hamburger steak, fried shrimp, fried chicken, French fries, sausage, and chicken rice.

A Happy Pancake

In addition to desserts, this cafe also offers savory pancakes. Orange juice is served free of charge for preschool children. The interior, with its white base and light wood accents, is bright and spacious.

Kanazawa Meat

It serve carefully crafted wagyu beef hamburger steaks. The spacious table seating is arranged with comfort in mind, making it easy to accommodate strollers and bags, which is ideal for families traveling with children. High chairs for kids are also available.

Indian Dining Sharma

You can enjoy authentic Indian curry and freshly baked naan. The set with two daily curries is a great deal, and there's also a "KIDS SET" with a choice of two mild curries.
