Experiancing the depth of "Omotenashi" culture

Tea Ceremony and Kanazawa Geiko (geisha) Experience. English guide included!

Kanazawa is a city where the tea ceremony culture has been alive since the feudal era. In order to learn the beautiful gestures and the spirit of omotenashi (hospitality), many Kanazawa geiko (geisha) practice the way of tea ceremony. At this event, you will enjoy two omotenashi cultures of Kanazawa, the tea ceremony and the geiko. After enjoying the tea ceremony, you will enjoy elegant dances and music performances by geiko and play a traditional game with them. Why don't you take this opportunity to experience the deep culture of Kanazawa?

Tea Ceremony Experience

After learning the spirit of hospitality contained in the hanging scrolls and flowers from the tea master who lives in Higashiyama district, you will see the tea making and taste sweets and matcha.

Kanazawa Geiko Ozashiki Party Experience

In Kanazawa, there are three chaya districts, Higashi, Nishi and Kazue-machi, which have been around since the Edo period, and about 35 geiko have inherited the traditional art and hospitality of chaya culture. Enjoy the graceful dances and the music by Kanazawa geiko who devote themselves to it every day, and play a Ozashiki party game. You can also enjoy talking with geiko and taking commemorative photos.
