Kanazawa Geisha Experience 2024-25

Kanazawa Geisha’s Traditional Performing Arts and Hospitality

In Kanazawa, there are three teahouse districts. Higashi, Nishi, and Kazuemachi. In these teahouses, about 40 geishas have inherited the traditional culture of hospitality. Usually, teahouses in Kanazawa are unable to take reservations from first time customers, but the city of Kanazawa has a special experience plan they created with the purpose to preserve the traditional culture of teahouses. This makes it easy for anyone to enjoy!

Experience watching geishas dance, play taiko drums and more. There are even chances to interact and perform together with the geishas as well during these events! Come join for the experience to witness Kanazawa’s geisha!

◎To all participants

Teahouses in Kanazawa’s teahouse district are places where geisha entertain guests. Guests are usually regulars and only guests that are invited by those regulars were allowed.
