Oyama-Jinja shrine

The enshrined "Kami" of this Oyama-Jinja shrine is Maeda Toshiie and his wife Matsu. The "Kami" Maeda Toshiie(1537-1599, the first lord of the Kaga domain at Kanazawa Castle) is an important historical figure who has made a great achievement. It is said to grant blessings for marital harmony, good relationships, and, due to the enshrined military commander, success in both academics and martial arts, and victory.
Located in the heart of Kanazawa, the beautiful glass work of the main gate, a National Important Cultural Property, makes it a popular tourist destination.
