- Kenchotei (見城亭)

Located next to the Katsurazaka entrance, one of the main entrances to Kenrokuen Garden, Kenchotei is also conveniently situated for visiting Kanazawa Castle Park.

The restaurant features a refined architectural design by internationally renowned Japanese architect Kengo KUMA.

Hours: Lunch 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.  *Closed: Tuesdays & Wednesdays (and irregular holidays).

- Kikan-tei (寄観亭)

Founded in 1874, Kikan-tei is a restaurant and souvenir shop located directly in front of Kotoji-toro, the iconic two-legged stone lantern in Kenrokuen Garden.

Hours: Restaurant hours: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.  *Closed: Wednesdays.

- Wakaba (若葉)　　

Founded in 1935, Wakaba is a long-established oden restaurant located about a 10-minute walk from Kenrokuen Garden's Kodatsuno entrance, in a quieter area that tends to attract fewer tourists.

The nearby Fukumitsuya brewery and shop are well known for their sake, which can also be enjoyed at the restaurant. Wakaba is loved for its unpretentious atmosphere, nostalgic interior, and comforting flavors.

Hours: 5:00–10:00 p.m.  *Closed: Mondays and Tuesdays. 

Located in central Kanazawa, Korinbo and Katamachi form one of the city's main shopping and entertainment districts.

Korinbo has a long history as an important transportation hub dating back to the Edo period (1603–1868). Today, it is home to department stores and other commercial facilities, including Korinbo Daiwa. It is also conveniently located near the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa Castle Park, and the Nagamachi Samurai District. The area is lively throughout the day and into the evening.

Katamachi is particularly lively at night, with restaurants and bars remaining open until late. It is an excellent place to enjoy a full dinner or stop for a lighter serving of oden after visiting another restaurant.

- Oden Kikuichi (おでん菊一) 

Member of the Kanazawa Oden Association of Long-Established Restaurants

Founded in 1934, Kikuichi is a long-established oden restaurant known for its kanimen, a seasonal specialty made with snow crab. It is popular enough that queues often form before opening on weekends.

- Oden Yoshibo (おでん よし坊)

Member of the Kanazawa Oden Association of Long-Established Restaurants

Located in Korinbo, Yoshibo serves oden, obanzai (home-style Japanese side dishes), and Japanese sake. The menu includes unusual oden ingredients and a variety of small dishes, many of which pair particularly well with sake. Its gentle-tasting broth, made without chemical seasonings according to the restaurant's description, is another popular feature.

＜Kakinoki-batake Street＞

- Oden Takasago (おでん高砂)

Member of the Kanazawa Oden Association of Long-Established Restaurants

Founded in 1936, Takasago is a long-established oden restaurant known for its Kanto-style broth, which is relatively uncommon among oden restaurants in Kanazawa. Other distinctive menu items include doteyaki (beef tendon simmered in a rich miso-based sauce) and curry oden.

- Amatsubo Kakinokibatake Main Restaurant (あまつぼ 柿木畠本店)

Founded in 1964, Amatsubo is a long-established restaurant serving Kanazawa oden.

＜Kiguramachi＞

• - Izakaya Kappo Genzaemon Kigura-machi Branch (居酒屋割烹 源左エ門 木倉町店)

  A popular izakaya (Japanese-style pub) among local residents. In addition to oden, the restaurant serves a selection of Kanazawa specialties, making it a good choice for sampling several local dishes in one place.

  A restaurant operated by Taya Urushi, a Wajima lacquerware maker.　Guests can enjoy a special dining experience featuring dishes served in Wajima lacquerware, a traditional Japanese craft known for its refined appearance and durable lacquer finish.

  Founded in 1957, Ozeki is a long-established casual kappo restaurant with a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. In addition to oden, it offers a wide range of Kanazawa's local specialties.

  - Goro Hachi (五郎八)
  A popular izakaya among both local residents and visitors. Recommended dishes include fresh seafood delivered directly from fishing ports and regional Japanese cuisine.

  Founded in 1927, Akadama is one of Kanazawa's long-established oden restaurants.

  - Ganso Kanazawa Robata Appare Katamachi Main Restaurant (元祖 金沢炉端 あっぱれ 片町本店)
  Opened in September 2024, this restaurant is known for its generous boat-shaped sashimi platters. Its oden is also popular, featuring broth that is replenished daily and ingredients simmered for more than five hours.

  - Izakaya Kappo Genzaemon Katamachi Branch (居酒屋割烹 源左エ門 片町店)
  Izakaya popular among locals for its fresh fish from the nearby sea, such as bluefin tuna, oysters and Koubako crab(female crab), and local dishes prepared with Kaga vegetables. Hours: 5:00–11:00 p.m.  (L.O.10:30 p.m.) *Closed： Mondays.
  
  - Shungyo Kisai Totozakura (旬魚季菜 とと桜)

  Enjoy seasonal seafood and local cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Alongside oden, the menu features nodoguro, sashimi, and local sake.

  Located in the Shinchi Ten shopping street, this restaurant is a good choice for visitors who want to experience one of Katamachi's more atmospheric, traditional entertainment districts.

  - Kanazawa Oden, Local Sake and Seafood: Anaba Katamachi Branch (金沢おでんと地酒・地魚 あなば 片町店)

  In addition to Kanazawa oden, this restaurant is popular for fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan, delivered directly from fishing ports.

  ＜Nagamachi Samurai District＞
  - Kaburaki Shokudo Nagamachi Branch (鏑木食堂長町店), also known as Oishii Ippuku Kaburaki
  The Kaburaki business was established in 1822 as one of the early Kutani ware merchants. More than 200 years later, it continues to showcase Kutani ware, a traditional style of Japanese porcelain originating in Ishikawa Prefecture. The premises include a restaurant serving meals on Kutani ware, as well as a shop and workshop.

• Hours: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. *Closed： Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Higashi Chaya District is one of Kanazawa's most popular sightseeing destinations. During the day, its historic streets are bustling with visitors exploring traditional wooden teahouses, shops, and cafés. In the evening, the streets become quieter, and the warm glow of the street lamps creates a particularly atmospheric setting.

- AMIYA: Kanazawa Oden, Noto Pufferfish and Nodoguro (AMIYA ～金沢おでん 能登ふぐ のどぐろ～)

The owner is originally from Noto, a peninsula in northern Ishikawa Prefecture. The restaurant serves Noto specialties, including pufferfish sourced from Wajima through the owner's own supply network, as well as local sake from Noto.

Hours: 11:30 a.m. until ingredients sell out

- Nihonshu Makoto (日本酒真琴)

A Japanese sake bar where you can enjoy sake, oden, obanzai (home-style Japanese side dishes), and other small plates from lunchtime. Lunch is also available. If you tell the staff what styles of sake you enjoy, they will recommend a suitable selection.

Hours: Mondays: 11:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Wednesdays–Sundays: 11:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.  *Closed: Tuesdays.

- Cho-bei

Located near the Hashiba intersection, close to the Asanogawa Ohashi Bridge, Chobei is an oden restaurant frequented by regular customers in the evenings.

Hours: 5:30–11:00 p.m.　*Closed: Sundays and Mondays that are public holidays

Known as "Kanazawa's Kitchen," Omicho Market is a lively food market offering fresh seafood and locally grown vegetables. In addition to Kanazawa oden, you can enjoy a variety of local specialties, including seafood rice bowls and Kanazawa curry.

- Ichiba Meshi Amatsubo (市場めし あまつぼ)  　– Member of the Kanazawa Oden Association of Long-Established Restaurants 

While many shops in Omicho Market close in the late afternoon, this restaurant remains open into the evening, making it a convenient option for dinner near the market.

Hours: 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.  *closed:  during New Year's season.

- Amatsubo Jimono-tei (あまつぼ じもの亭)    – Member of the Kanazawa Oden Association of Long-Established Restaurants 

Opened in February 2025, this restaurant mainly serves seafood rice bowls, with oden also available on the menu.

Hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. *closed: Wednesdays

- Yugeya Bankyu (ゆげや萬久)　　

Located on the first basement floor of Kanazawa M'za department store, directly in front of Omicho Market. It is a convenient place to eat after the market's other shops have closed. The basement level is connected to the market, making it easy to reach.

Hours: 11:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.

- Gosai Machiya Washoku (五彩 町家和食 gosai machiya)　

This restaurant is housed in a renovated traditional Japanese townhouse, giving it a distinctive atmosphere. It is located along the main road from Kanazawa Station toward Omicho Market, just beyond Higashi Honganji Kanazawa Betsuin Temple.

Seating is limited, so advance confirmation by telephone is recommended.

Kanazawa Station is the main gateway to the city, and several restaurants serving Kanazawa oden can be found inside the station and in the surrounding area.

Located inside Anto, the shopping and dining area within Kanazawa Hyakubangai. Kuroyuri is popular with local residents and has maintained its traditional broth recipe for more than 50 years.

- Oden Yam-san (おでん山さん)

Also located inside Anto, this restaurant is known for its salt-seasoned oden, which highlights the flavor of its carefully prepared broth.

- Kanaeki no Chikuwa (かなえきのちくわ)

Located on the first floor of Hyakuban Kitchen, in the western section of Kanazawa Hyakubangai Anto. This casual izakaya-style bar features a U-shaped counter, making it an easy place to stop for a quick meal or drink.

- Kanazawa Oden Amatsubo Cross Gate Kanazawa (金澤おでん あまつぼ クロスゲート金沢店)

Amatsubo has been serving customers in Kanazawa for approximately half a century. Its concept combines seasonal ingredients, local cuisine, oden, and fine alcoholic beverages. Guests can enjoy jiwamon—a local expression for ingredients and foods produced in the region—as well as Kaga cuisine and carefully selected drinks.

The restaurant has counter seating only, with 10 seats.

- Oden-dokoro Otorichaya (おでん処 大酉茶屋)

A welcoming restaurant known for its comforting atmosphere and gently flavored dishes. It is popular with businesspeople stopping by after work.

Hours: 11:30 a.m - 2:00 p.m (last order at 1:30 p.m.), 4:00-10:00 p.m. (last order at 9:00 p.m.) *Open irregularly *No lunch on Sat, Sun and public holidays.

- Robata and Oden Koronagi Kanazawa Ekimae Branch (炉端とおでん 呼炉凪来 金沢駅前店)

Opened in July 2024, this restaurant serves oden alongside robata-yaki, a traditional Japanese style of cooking in which ingredients are grilled over charcoal.

Hours: 4:00 p.m.–midnight (last order at 11:00 p.m.)

- Kanazawa Oden and Charcoal-Grilled Yakitori: GAPPA (金沢おでんと炭火焼鳥 個室居酒屋がっぱ)

Located on the sixth floor of a building approximately a two-minute walk from the station. The restaurant has received first place in a nationwide oden ranking organized by the Japanese dining website Hitosara. 

Hours: 5:00 p.m.–midnight *Closed: Sundays.

- Noto Beef and Kanazawa Oden: Kanazawa Fudo Kenkyujo (能登牛 金沢おでん 金沢風土研究所)

Directly connected to Kanazawa Station via an underground passage. In addition to Kanazawa oden, the restaurant serves Noto beef, a regional specialty that can be difficult to find outside Ishikawa Prefecture.

Hours: 4:00–11:00 p.m. 

- Oden Kaiseki Kanazawa KAGAMI (おでん懐石 金澤かが美)

Located about a five-minute walk from the station, this restaurant offers an oden-focused kaiseki dining experience in a modern space created by renovating a traditional townhouse approximately 100 years old. Kaiseki is a traditional Japanese style of dining featuring a sequence of carefully prepared dishes.

Hours: 11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. (last order at 1:30 p.m.), 5:30–10:00 p.m. (last order at 9:30 p.m.)  *closed: Sundays(or the following day if Sunday is a public holiday).

- Kaga Hyakumangoku no Aji GENKAN (加賀百万石の味 げんかん)

Located in the Betsuin shopping district, this restaurant serves Kanazawa oden, nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), other regional specialties, and local sake.

Hours: 5:00–10:00 p.m. (last order at 9:30 p.m.),  Sat: 5:00–11:00 p.m. (last order at 10:30 p.m.)   *closed:  Mondays.

- Hokuriku Seafood and Kanazawa Oden: KAIRIKI (北陸海鮮 金沢おでん 海力)

5-minute walk from the station. Seafood tavern with a giant water tank. 

Hours: 4:00–11:00 p.m.  *closed:  irregularly.

- Aji-no-iwashiya 

Directly connected to the station via an underground passage, this restaurant is popular with businesspeople after work. As its name suggests, it specializes in sardine dishes and also offers a wide selection of other small plates.

Hours: 11:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., 5:00–11:00 p.m. (No lunch service on Sundays)  *closed:  irregularly.

- Oden Kiraboshi (おでん 煌星)

Located in the middle of Betsuin Street, with a diverse menu including oden, seafood delicacies, smoked fish, Sichuan-style mapo tofu and handmade soba noodles. 

Hours: 11:30 a.m.–midnight (last order at 11:30 p.m.)  *closed:  irregular holidays

- Nonkiya (のんきや)

Old-fashioned izakaya, 3 minutes' walk from the station. Fresh fish dishes and Kaga vegetables. Don't forget to order the popular beef tendon.

- Washu to Wadan Kakomi Ryori Daian (和酒と和談かこみ料理 醍庵)

Located approximately three minutes on foot from the station. With private rooms, tables, and traditional Japanese-style seating, the restaurant can accommodate a range of group sizes.

Hours:  Monday–Saturday : Noon–2:00 p.m. (last order at 1:30 p.m.), 5:00–11:00 p.m. (last order at 10:00 p.m.),  Sunday: Noon–3:00 p.m. (last order at 2:30 p.m.), 5:00–10:00 p.m. (last order at 9:00 p.m.)

A restaurant offering private dining rooms, suitable for guests who prefer a more private dining experience.
