Encounter Art While Exploring the City – A Private Contemporary Art Museum

Opened on June 21, 2020, KAMU Kanazawa is a private contemporary art museum with multiple art spaces located throughout Kanazawa. It has drawn attention for its unique concept: visitors discover both art and the charm of the city while walking from one venue to another.


Highlights include Leandro Erlich’s immersive installation INFINITE STAIRCASE and Lip Bar, a space featuring the iconic lips motif by renowned photographer Daido Moriyama.


In addition to works by internationally acclaimed artists, KAMU also showcases cutting-edge contemporary creators, offering fresh and dynamic artistic experiences throughout the city.
