MEET the GEIKO in Kanazawa Early Summer Event.

This event is organised by Kanazawa Asanogawa Enyukai Hall.

Come and meet Geiko in Kanazawa, and have fun interacting with them!

Geisha are referred to as Geiko in Kanazawa. Please call them "Geiko san" when you meet them.

The event offers fun, casual entertainment of the Geiko performance, traditional party games and conversations with them.

Each "Meet the Geisha" event is performed by 2 Geiko.

The total of 21 Geiko from the Higashi Chaya District and Kazue-machi Chaya District take turns performing at the event.

This is a perfect way to spend your 60 minutes to enrich your Kanazawa stay.

Indulge in the hospitality of the Kanazawa Geisha including:

- A singing, dancing and taiko drumming performance by Geiko

- Traditional party games

- Conversations, Q&A

After the event ends at 5:45pm, there is an opportunity to take photos with the Geiko.

Kanazawa Asanogawa Enyukai Hall

Kanazawa Asanogawa Enyukai Hall is a museum of Kanazawa Chaya District culture and Geiko entertainment.

Its second floor is equipped with an authentic Geiko entertainment stage and an "Ozashiki" party space to fit 32 people,

and it offers guests an opportunity to learn about the cultural history of the Kanazawa Geiko and appreciate

the traditional Japanese musical instrument and equipment that are essential for the Geiko.
