Direct operations of the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet trains running between Tokyo and Kanazawa were resumed from October 25th. Kanazawa city was not impacted by the typhoon. Everyone, please do come here.

It was announced that there is a possibility that direct operations of the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet trains between Tokyo and Kanazawa could be resumed from October 25th.
A definite timetable is scheduled to be announced on October 23rd.
Direct connections for bullet train service between Tokyo and Kanazawa are canceled.
Due to the impacts from the typhoon, routes and bullet train cars were damaged. Accordingly, for Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet trains, Kagayaki and Hakutaka operations for direct connections between Tokyo and Kanazawa are canceled. Please check the JR homepage for the latest situations regarding service.
Until all lines of the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet trains are opened for traffic, please use alternative means below to travel by train and bus between Tokyo and Kanazawa.

To be held for the eleventh time this year is “Kanazawa JAZZ street”. It is popular as a customary event in the fall. You can hear live jazz throughout the whole town of Kanazawa.
At “Machikado Jazz live”, over 150 live events will be held at twelve venues in the center of the city. While listening to Kanazawa-style jazz, please make it a point to enjoy the townscapes, history, and food culture of Kanazawa.
Here is an event that you can enjoy in about one hour. It is the digest version of six kinds of programs that are characteristic of Japan. The programs will feature such events as geisha performances as well as koto and Japanese drum musical performances, which are all part of the traditional culture of Kanazawa.
The “sento” bath has been loved for hundreds of years by the area residents. Here you can have a glimpse of everyday life in Japan. You can also enjoy the interaction with the locals as your use the sento.
From July 2019, valuable tickets are offered for sale at JR EAST Travel Service Center in Narita Airport and Haneda Airport etc, to visit sites along Mitsuboshi Kaidou Three-Star Road. Mitsuboshi Kaidou Three-Star Road is a road that connects Kanazawa, Gokayama, Shirakawa-go, Takayama, and Matsumoto.
